Scale
Main Ingredients
- 3 cups rotisserie chicken, shredded
- 1 package Kings Hawaiian Rolls (12 count)
- 1/2 cup Ranch dressing
- 1/2 cup Frank’s buffalo sauce
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350° F (175° C) to get it ready for baking the sliders.
- Prepare Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with garlic powder and set aside to brush on the rolls later.
- Mix Chicken Filling: In another bowl, thoroughly mix the shredded chicken with ranch dressing, buffalo sauce, and half of the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until well combined.
- Assemble Sliders – Bottom Layer: Split the Kings Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, place the bottom halves in a 9×13 inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Add Chicken Mixture: Spread the prepared chicken mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls, then sprinkle the remaining shredded cheeses on top.
- Top and Brush: Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese. Brush the tops generously with the garlic butter mixture to add flavor and help browning.
- Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and the flavors to meld.
- Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops of the sliders turn a golden brown and slightly crispy.
- Serve: Remove from oven, slice the sliders apart, and serve warm for a delicious, crowd-pleasing appetizer or meal.
Notes
- Rotisserie chicken saves cooking time and adds great flavor; alternatively, use cooked shredded chicken breast.
- Adjust the amount of buffalo sauce to control the spiciness of the sliders.
- For extra crispiness, broil the sliders for 1-2 minutes after baking, but watch carefully to prevent burning.
- These sliders are best served fresh but can be reheated in the oven wrapped in foil.
- Using Kings Hawaiian rolls gives a subtle sweetness that balances the spicy buffalo flavor.
