  5. Add Baking Soda: Stir in the baking soda while continuing to stir. The caramel mixture will become foamy, double in size, and turn a light tan color—this indicates it is ready.
  6. Coat Cereal: Pour the hot caramel mixture over the Crispix cereal in the bowl. Stir thoroughly to ensure every piece is well coated with the caramel sauce.
  7. Cool and Set: Transfer the coated cereal onto the prepared parchment-lined baking sheet, spreading it out evenly. Allow it to cool completely for about an hour to set the caramel and prevent stickiness before serving or storing.
