Description

Creamy Ranch Steak & Mozzarella Garlic Butter Pasta is a hearty and flavorful dish featuring tender seared steak bites tossed with penne pasta in a rich, creamy garlic ranch sauce melted with mozzarella cheese. This recipe is perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner that combines the delicious taste of garlic butter, ranch seasoning, and gooey cheese in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak & Seasoning

  • 1 pound steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Pasta

  • 12 ounces penne pasta

Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 ounce)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Sear the steak: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites, season with salt and pepper, and sear until browned and cooked to your preference. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Cook the pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the penne pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté garlic: Using the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not burnt.
  4. Prepare the sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the ranch seasoning mix. Let the sauce simmer for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
  5. Add cheese: Stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese until fully melted into the creamy sauce, creating a smooth and rich texture.
  6. Combine pasta and steak: Add the drained pasta and the seared steak back into the skillet. Toss everything together to coat the pasta and steak evenly with the creamy sauce.
  7. Serve: Serve the pasta hot. Optionally, garnish with extra shredded cheese or fresh herbs like parsley for added flavor and color.

Notes

  • For best results, use a well-marbled cut of steak like ribeye for juiciness.
  • Do not overcook the steak; searing quickly on high heat keeps it tender.
  • Use freshly minced garlic to maximize flavor in the sauce.
  • Adjust salt according to the seasoning mix and personal taste.
  • Leftover pasta can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
