Delicious Cherry Pie Bites Recipe

  • Author: Victor
  • Total Time: 24 minutes
  • Yield: 12 pie bites 1x

Description

These Delicious Cherry Pie Bites are a delightful, bite-sized twist on classic cherry pie, made with flaky crescent roll dough and sweet cherry pie filling. Topped with a smooth confectioners’ sugar glaze, they are perfect for dessert or a sweet snack and quick to prepare using simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 1 can cherry pie filling (21 ounces)

Dough

  • 2 tubes crescent roll dough (8 ounces each)

Glaze

  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Muffin Tin: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a standard muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking and ensure easy removal of the pie bites.
  2. Arrange the Crescent Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into individual triangles. Place each triangle in a muffin cup with the widest part at the bottom, forming a small nest for the filling.
  3. Add the Cherry Filling: Spoon about 3 to 4 heaping tablespoons of cherry pie filling into each dough-lined muffin cup. Some overflow is normal and adds rustic charm.
  4. Fold and Bake the Dough: Gently fold the corners of the dough over the filling to enclose it as much as possible. Bake in the preheated oven for 13-14 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Prepare the Glaze: While baking, whisk together the confectioners’ sugar and 1-2 tablespoons of milk in a small bowl until smooth. Adjust milk for desired consistency.
  6. Glaze and Serve: Remove the cherry pie bites from the oven and let cool slightly. Drizzle the glaze over the warm bites with a spoon. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Be careful not to overfill the dough cups to avoid excessive spilling during baking.
  • You can substitute cherry pie filling with other fruit fillings if desired.
  • The glaze consistency can be adjusted by adding more milk for a thinner drizzle or more sugar for a thicker glaze.
  • These can be made ahead and warmed briefly before serving.
  • Use nonstick spray or grease the muffin tin well to ensure easy removal of the pie bites.
