  • Author: Victor
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

The Drunken Snowman is a cozy and indulgent winter cocktail combining creamy hot chocolate, vanilla ice cream, and a splash of Bailey’s Irish Cream. Topped with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles, this warm and boozy treat is perfect for holiday gatherings or relaxing evenings.

Ingredients

Scale

Hot Chocolate Base

  • 1 packet Hot Chocolate Mix
  • 68 ounces Milk

Ice Cream & Alcohol

  • 2 scoops Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 1.5 ounces Bailey’s Irish Cream

Toppings

  • Whipped Cream (for topping)
  • Milk Chocolate Sprinkles or Chocolate Shavings (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Hot Chocolate: Heat 1 cup of milk and 1 packet of hot chocolate mix on medium heat in a pot on the stove. Stir continuously until the hot chocolate powder is fully dissolved. Alternatively, microwave 1 cup of milk until hot and stir in the hot chocolate powder until well mixed.
  2. Add Ice Cream: In a serving cup or mug, add two scoops of vanilla ice cream.
  3. Pour Bailey’s Irish Cream: Pour 1.5 ounces of Bailey’s Irish Cream over the ice cream in the cup.
  4. Combine Hot Chocolate: Pour the prepared hot chocolate into the cup over the ice cream and Bailey’s. Stir gently to combine while maintaining some texture from the melting ice cream.
  5. Top with Whipped Cream: Generously add whipped cream on top of the drink to enhance creaminess and presentation.
  6. Garnish: Sprinkle milk chocolate sprinkles or chocolate shavings over the whipped cream as a decorative and flavorful garnish.

Notes

  • Use whole milk for a creamier texture, or substitute with a dairy alternative if preferred.
  • Adjust the amount of Bailey’s Irish Cream to suit your taste preference or alcohol tolerance.
  • To make the drink extra decadent, add an additional scoop of ice cream or top with marshmallows.
  • This drink is best enjoyed warm; prepare and serve immediately after assembly.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the Bailey’s and add an extra scoop of vanilla ice cream.
