Ingredients
Scale
Chocolate Layer
- 1 (12 oz) bag Milk Chocolate Chips
Pretzels
- 8 oz Pretzels (Half of 16 oz Bag)
Caramel Drizzle
- 1 (11 oz) bag Kraft Caramels, Unwrapped
- 2 tbsp Heavy Cream
Instructions
- Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
- Melt Chocolate: Place the milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30 second intervals, stirring between each until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Spread Chocolate: Spread about two-thirds of the melted chocolate evenly over the parchment paper-lined baking sheet to form the base layer of the bark.
- Add Pretzels: Arrange the pretzels on top of the melted chocolate in a single, even layer; gently press them into the chocolate to ensure they stick.
- Melt Caramel Mixture: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the unwrapped Kraft caramels together with heavy cream for 2 minutes, stirring halfway through to create a smooth caramel drizzle.
- Drizzle Caramel: Evenly drizzle the melted caramel mixture over the pretzels layer.
- Drizzle Remaining Chocolate: Use the remaining melted chocolate to drizzle all over the caramel and pretzels for a decorative and flavorful finish.
- Chill: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill until the bark is set and firm, approximately 1-2 hours.
Notes
- Use good quality milk chocolate for a richer flavor.
- Make sure the caramels are unwrapped before melting to avoid burning.
- Press the pretzels gently so you don’t break them but ensure they stick well to the chocolate.
- Store the bark in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
- For an extra touch, sprinkle a light pinch of flaky sea salt over the top before chilling to enhance the salted caramel flavor.
