Description

This Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark is a delightful combination of smooth milk chocolate, crunchy pretzels, and rich caramel drizzled with a touch of cream. Perfect as a sweet and salty treat for any occasion, this no-bake dessert is quick to prepare and sure to impress.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Layer

  • 1 (12 oz) bag Milk Chocolate Chips

Pretzels

  • 8 oz Pretzels (Half of 16 oz Bag)

Caramel Drizzle

  • 1 (11 oz) bag Kraft Caramels, Unwrapped
  • 2 tbsp Heavy Cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Melt Chocolate: Place the milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30 second intervals, stirring between each until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  3. Spread Chocolate: Spread about two-thirds of the melted chocolate evenly over the parchment paper-lined baking sheet to form the base layer of the bark.
  4. Add Pretzels: Arrange the pretzels on top of the melted chocolate in a single, even layer; gently press them into the chocolate to ensure they stick.
  5. Melt Caramel Mixture: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the unwrapped Kraft caramels together with heavy cream for 2 minutes, stirring halfway through to create a smooth caramel drizzle.
  6. Drizzle Caramel: Evenly drizzle the melted caramel mixture over the pretzels layer.
  7. Drizzle Remaining Chocolate: Use the remaining melted chocolate to drizzle all over the caramel and pretzels for a decorative and flavorful finish.
  8. Chill: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill until the bark is set and firm, approximately 1-2 hours.

Notes

  • Use good quality milk chocolate for a richer flavor.
  • Make sure the caramels are unwrapped before melting to avoid burning.
  • Press the pretzels gently so you don’t break them but ensure they stick well to the chocolate.
  • Store the bark in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  • For an extra touch, sprinkle a light pinch of flaky sea salt over the top before chilling to enhance the salted caramel flavor.
